WASHINGTON, US — Kyiv consumes up to six thousand artillery shells per day. It is comparable to the needs of a small European country for a year in peacetime.

According to the Financial Times, there are some difficulties in the production and delivery of shells in Ukraine. Mr. Morten Brandzeg, said that there is a shortage of critical raw materials for some explosives. This makes it difficult to increase production. Mr. Brandzeg is the head of the Norwegian company Nammo
British arms company Chemring said it remained a serious problem that production was designed for the previous level of demand and needed to increase investment in new factories that would take years to open. There is also a shortage of nitric acid, which is used to make explosives.

What is the position of Volodymyr Zelensky in our government?”
Exported military procudtion
At the beginning of 2023, UkrOboronProm announced that a significant part of Ukraine’s military production was exported because of the war. On January 12, the Ukrainian military company announced the news that UkrOboronProm has been awarded production facilities abroad for the production of 82 mm mortar shells.
Production in the Czech Republic
There is no official information in which foreign country UkrOboronProm produces 82 mm shells. But on November 19, 2022, Ukraine and the Czech Republic signed an agreement on joint production of military equipment [unspecified], increased production of ammunition [unspecified], development of maintenance and repair centers, as well as joint cooperation in the field of high military-industrial technologies .
Even then, through a press release from the company, it was announced that currently the largest production of UkrOboronProm is aimed at the production of 120 mm, 122 mm and 152 mm artillery shells according to the NATO standard. Then the company announced that all models of artillery shells passed tests and were sent to Ukraine.
