ATHENS, GREECE — A Greek entrepreneur and inventor in business for the past 40 years has invented a vehicle that shoots down drones with a laser. Mr. Konstantinos Soukos presented his Minotaur product in a live demonstration to Greek vlogger Mr. Nikos Theologos.

Minotaur is equipped with lasers, which within three seconds are capable of “burning the ass” of any drone flying at a certain height. The weapon system was offered to Turkey during an exhibition in France, and according to Greek media News Auto, Mr. Soukos agreed to the Turkish proposal for joint cooperation.

Not only does Minotaur take down drones with a laser, but it also targets drones. Mr. Sukos said that he has been working on this military vehicle for 13 years now. The prototype Minotaur is located in Mr. Sukos’ production facility. The Greek media have shown serious interest in Minotaur in recent months. However, there is no information on whether Minotaur has been offered to the Greek government and, if so, at what stage the negotiations are.

He is inventor

Mr. Sukos does not have a production line. He is an inventor and sells his patents to interested parties. During his 40-year career, he has developed a variety of domestic servant robots that he says “can cook, wash dishes or serve coffee.”

One of his significant achievements and pride is the technology he developed years ago to destroy expired munitions, including high-risk ones such as chemical weapons. The system is called Castalia, which was provided to the US government “for tens of millions of euros”.

The video for this article shows Mr. Theologos’ full interview with Greek inventor and businessman Mr. Konstantinos Soukos. The video also shows the operation of a laser beam on a static target, which after being fired with the beam catches fire, and a worker is forced to put out the fire with water. Watch it, it’s interesting!
