ANKARA ($1=18.60 Turkish Liras) — The KNG-C5 Personal Defense Weapon [PDW], developed by Kale Kalıp, was presented for the first time at the Indo Defense 2022 defense industry fair in Indonesia.

During the fair, Kale Kalıp General Manager Selim Erol gave information about KNG-C5 and also mentioned Kale Kalıp’s intensive export activities in the region.
“Kale Kalıp attended the Indo Defense Fair for the second time. We brought both our new products and our existing products to this fair. Kale Kalip is launching KNG-C5 weapon for the first time at this fair. We also brought our KMR 762 pistol which we will manufacture and deliver soon to our Indonesian police user.”
The presence of Kale Kalıp at the Indonesian exhibition can be counted as a success after it became clear that Indonesia has placed the first order for the KNG-C5. The Turkish manufacturer defines the KNG-C5 as a rifle of a new generation.
In recent years, the Turkish company has been developing intensive exports in the region. Nearly 80,000 military products, weapons, articles, and accessories have been sold by Kale Kalıp in this part of the Asian continent. In addition to the KNG-C5, the company has also presented the KMR 762, which is already on sale in Indonesia. The first order of the KMR 762 assault rifle was placed by Indonesia in March this year, and the company announced that they are ready to ship the ordered quantity.
KMR762 7.62mmx51 NATO / .308 WIN sniper rifle
KMR762 was first presented by Kale Kalib during the Turkish International Defense and Security Fair IDEF 2019. Then the sniper rifle was redesigned according to the requirements of the Turkish defense, as adjustments were made to the muzzle brake of the rifle and quickly disassembled suppressor.
The A2 version of the KMR762, with its ergonomic design and multifunctional butt, with all the functional features a sniper could wish for, was also on display at the IDEF’21 Fair in Turkey.
KMR762 has two different versions of the barrel, 18″ and 20″. The 20 ”barrel version weighs 5.3 kg [excluding the magazine and accessories] and has an effective range of 800 meters and magazines with a capacity of 10 and 20 rounds can be attached to the pistol.
The KMR762 has an aluminum bottom and top and can be used with both hands. The initial firing speed is in the range of 600 – 780 rpm or 800 m / s.
The KMR762 has a short-stroke gas piston and a rotating head. The piston system is adjustable in two positions. The barrel is cold-forged with chrome on the inside and manganese phosphate coating on the outside. Allows installation of accessories via Picatinny rails on 4 sides of the front and upper body. The modular mechanical sight is adjustable folding, and the butt has four telescopic positions.
5.56 light machine gun in serial production
Furthermore, referring to the work of Kale Kalıp 5.56 Machine Gun, Selim Erol said, “As Kale Kalıp, we are the only company in Turkey that qualifies 5.56 light machine guns. Qualification was completed about a year ago, and in the process, our weapon passed 34 NATO tests. Over 300,000 rounds of ammunition were spent on qualification alone. This was done simultaneously with our users from the Gendarmerie, Special Operations Police, and Ground Forces Command. Our gun is registered as good for 50,000 rounds. We are currently in mass production. Mass production deliveries will be completed soon. We see a lot of interest from abroad as well.”
