MOSCOW ($1=67.75 Russian Rubles) — It appears that Russia continues to send tanks to Ukraine, albeit in smaller numbers. A train with eight T-90 tanks on its way to Ukraine was spotted at Samara station in southeastern European Russia.

It is noteworthy that the new batch is composed of eight main “naked” T-90 battle tanks, i.e. without modifications. All are without reactive armor or additional armament, just basic. That contrasts with the primary T-90 which has been fully equipped and sent to Ukraine.
The video of the train loaded with the eight T-90 tanks was shot in the last 24 hours. This contrasts with the visit of Mr. Dmitry Medvedev, the leader of the United Russia party and former President and Prime Minister, to Uralvagonzavod in Nizhny Tagil. Mr. Medvedev is at Russia’s largest tank manufacturer on the orders of Mr. Vladimir Putin, the President of Russia, to inspect the production.
Mr. Medvedev used his Telegram channel to inform the public about the visit. At the end of his message, he indirectly addressed Western countries, assuring them that Russia would not run out of weapons. “Reading enemy analyses, I have repeatedly come across claims that the military equipment and weapons in demand in Russia will soon run out. It’s as if they have wasted everything. Do not get your hopes up. The production of weapons and special equipment is multiplying in all directions: from tanks and cannons to precision missiles and drones. Hold on!” writes Mr. Medvedev.
Despite Mr. Medvedev’s claims, the delivery of the eight tanks cannot be described as an “inexhaustible stockpile” of weapons. Uralvagonzavod is probably operating at total production capacity, but the tanks coming off the production line are not in large quantities.
Is Moscow’s decision to modernize 800 T-62 tanks not the reason for the slow pace of T-90 production? It’s entirely possible. Russia still needs weapons, and it is faster to modify old ones than to build new ones.
The last time new T-90 tanks left Uralvagonzavod was in September, more than a month ago. One part of them went to Ukraine to replenish the tank brigades participating in the battles, and another was sent to the divisions of the Western Military District.
BulgarianMilitary.com recalls that it became known only a few days ago that the Russian army uses modernized Indian tanks T-90 Bhishma. As far as the various signals from India, as well as half-hearted statements of Indian politicians, can be spread, Moscow has not asked permission from New Delhi to use the tanks in the war in Ukraine.
“The T-90 Bhishma is owned by India and has been sent to Russia for modernization testing,” Indian journalist Mr. Girish Linganna claims.
