LONDON ($1=0.82 British Pounds) — Since the beginning of the war [February 24] in Ukraine, dozens of European countries have provided military aid to Ukraine. Some of them provide their experience to the Ukrainian troops. Great Britain is one of them. Britain’s Ministry of Defense released a video showing Ukrainian soldiers training on British soil.

The Ministry of Defense mentions where and when the training takes place. It is clear from the video footage that the video was shot either in late spring or now – in the summer. Training is seen to focus on offensive operations, such as storming buildings, hostage rescue operations, and close combat. A source at BulgarianMilitary.com claims that infantry units and special forces are currently being trained [also shown in the video] at military bases in Great Britain. Britain is famous for having the best special forces in the world – The Special Air Service [SAS].
The training lasts up to two weeks. After that, the group that has completed the training goes back to the front in Ukraine, and from there comes a new training group.
Not only Great Britain helps with the experience and practice of Ukrainian soldiers. It is known that Germany and Poland are two of the countries on whose territories Ukrainian artillerymen are trained. However, their training is shorter. Their training is focused on operating Western weapon systems, primarily self-propelled howitzers, and armored infantry vehicles.
2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine
On 21 February 2022, the Russian government claimed that Ukrainian shelling had destroyed an FSB border facility on the Russia Ukraine border. Moscow also claimed that it had killed 5 Ukrainian soldiers who tried to cross into Russian territory. Ukraine denied being involved in both incidents and called them a false flag.
On the same day, the Russian government formally recognized the self-proclaimed DPR and LPR as independent states. According to Putin not only in their de-facto controlled areas, but the Ukrainian Oblasts as a whole. Putin ordered Russian troops, including tanks, to enter the regions.
On 24 February 2022, Russian President Vladimir Putin ordered an invasion of Ukraine by Russian Armed Forces previously concentrated along the border. The invasion followed by targeted airstrikes of military buildings in the country, as well as tanks entering via the Belarus border.
Russia has so far not recognized the invasion of Ukraine as a “war”, although that is exactly what it is, claiming that it is a “special military operation”. According to the UN, in which Russia has its permanent representation, for military action to be defined as a “special military operation”, it must have a resolution issued by the UN. There is no such resolution, which automatically defines the military actions of the Russians as an invasion and war against the citizens of Ukraine.
