Akinci UCAV broke its own record and rose nearly 14 km in high

ANKARA ($1=17.38 Turkish Liras) — Bayraktar AKINCI-B High-Altitude Long-Endurance [HALE] Unmanned Combat Aerial Vehicle [UCAV] broke its own national aviation record for altitude for the third time, moving it to 45,118 feet [13,716 km]. AKINCI-B is expected to join the Turkish Air Force soon.

Bayraktar AKINCI B, took off at 19:31 on 22 June 2022 to conduct tests for endurance, high altitude, and high speed in the presence of delegations of the Presidency of the Defense Industry and the Air Force Command. AKINCI B UCAV again broke the record for the highest altitude. Bayraktar AKINCI B, which rose to an altitude of 45,118 feet [13,716 meters] in the test, then returned to the training test center of the Turkish command at Corlu Airport after 20 hours and 23 minutes spent in the air flight.

The Bayraktar AKINCI A Bayraktar AKINCI UCAV model, which runs on 2 450-horsepower engine configurations, broke the record by climbing to an altitude of 38,039 feet [11,594 km] in a test conducted on July 8, 2021. The model Bayraktar AKINCI B, on the other hand, reached an altitude of 40,170 feet [12,243 km] on March 11, 2022, and set its own record higher. Bayraktar AKINCI B, which reached an altitude of 45,118 feet on June 22, 2022, broke the altitude record for the third time.
