Experts estimate the deal at between $ 10 billion and $ 12 billion, with preliminary financial estimates that $ 3 billion will be spent on the acquisition of the 24 Eurofighter Typhoons. The European Fighter is the largest joint weapons system program in Europe. More than 400 companies are involved in the production of this aircraft, which employs nearly 100,000 people. Leading the deal with Egypt will be the Italian company Leonardo, which will receive nearly 60% of the deal.

Eurofighter Typhoon is a European multinational twin-engine, canard delta wing, multirole fighter. It was officially introduced in 2003, but its first flight was registered in March 1994. Over 570 units have been produced by him. It is in service in nine countries around the world.

Eurofighter Typhoons can be operated by one or two pilots. Its maximum speed is 2.125 km / h, ferry range is 3.790 km, g limits is +9 / -3, thrust / weight is 1.15. The aircraft is armed with a 27 mm Mauser BK-27 revolver cannon with 150 rounds, anti-ship missiles, air-to-air and air-to-ground missiles, bombs, and more.

As for the Fremm frigates, Egypt already has one, which it bought back in 2015, which means that Cairo is pleased with its performance, capabilities, and efficiency. Leading role in the production of Fremm has the largest shipyard in Italy – Fincantieri.

Fremm’s armament is not to be underestimated. One frigate is equipped with SAMM IT anti-aircraft missiles; one 127/64 mm cannon [in the general-purpose version], two Otobreda 76 SR cannons as a short-range defense system [also only in the general-purpose version]; the Teseo surface-to-surface missile system, the ability to launch MILAS ASW missiles and two SCLAR H missile launch systems.

France is the other country [apart from Italy] involved in the development of the frigate Fremm. However, Paris has ordered slightly different armaments for its boats, which include: the Herakles multi-role radar, MdCN cruise missiles, Aster anti-aircraft missiles, Exocet MM40 anti-ship missiles, and MU90 torpedoes. France has ordered a total of 12 frigates for this class.
