KYIV, ($1=29.56 Ukrainian Hryvnias) — Every day, the war in Ukraine reveals the presence of various weapons manufactured around the world that are involved in the fight against Russian troops who invaded the country in February this year. A Twitter photo of a Ukrainian soldiers shows that someone [it is not known exactly which country] delivered the emblematic Belgian FN F2000 rifle to the Ukrainian troops.
- Ukraine uses an M768A1 60mm multi-option bomb for its KBA-118 mortar
- UAR-15, the Zbroyar clone of AR-15 replaces Soviet Kalashnikov
- Germany delivers to Ukraine 4600 DM22/DM31 mines, 2450 RGW 90 ATGMs
Belgium is one of the arms suppliers to the Ukrainian armed forces. According to sources, 10,000 rifles were delivered by the Belgian government to Ukraine, including SCAR-L and FNC. It is quite possible these FN F2000 rifles were also part of one of the shipments.
Another European country, Slovenia, also has stocks of this Belgian rifle model. But it is unlikely that these FN F2000s are Slovenian, as the Slovenian ones have a different but easily distinguishable Picatinny rail on the top of the rifle and are a model FN F2000 S.
