According to the Turkish specialized resource TurDef, the cooperation between SAGE and DASAL Aviation has reached a new level and the relevant agreement was signed during the summit for logistical support of defense, which took place on 7-8 December. takes place in Ankara.

Gurkan Okumush, director of the SAGE Institute for Defense Industry Research and Development, said the agreement would improve results. This in turn will provide an opportunity to achieve better results than each country can achieve alone. He added that the result would lead to the emergence of new export markets.

DASAL is a private company owned by the Turkish companies Altinay Havacılık and ASELSAN, which was specially created for the development of the field of unmanned aerial vehicles.

Both SAGE and DASAL shared videos on their social media accounts to show that Togan’s ammunition had already been dumped by the UAV.

In particular, this video shows that the Kargo-150 octocopter, developed and manufactured by DASAL, has a range of up to 40 km and a payload of 150 kg and can operate day and night with a suspension system mounted on four 81-mm SAGE’s Togan mortar strikes hit the target and successively fires ammunition, hitting it.

The suspension system installed on the Kargo-150 is similar to the one demonstrated at the IDEF-2019 exhibition, installed on the new light Turkish Hurkus-C light attack aircraft.

Interestingly, the infographic shown in the published video shows that the Kargo-150 UAV has two suspension systems with a total payload of 8 Togan munitions – a payload that was previously demonstrated on the Hurkus-C attack aircraft.

It is known that 81-mm Togan ammunition can be equipped with different warheads, which allows you to choose the most effective ammunition to hit a specific target, and in turn, the algorithms of the onboard fire control system provide accuracy [more previously reported CEP – 10 meters].
