BEIJING, ($1=6.46 Chinese Yuans) – The United States, Russia, and the EU are known to develop next-generation fighters, known as the sixth generation. China has joined them at the Airshow China in Zhuhai, South China’s Guangdong Province unveiled its next-generation FC-3 stealth fighter, learned BulgarianMilitary.com, citing sources.

The aircraft was presented as a model but managed to shift the focus of interest from the already popular fifth-generation JF-20 fighter. From the photos provided, it is very impressive that the next-generation fighter of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army FC-31 is very similar to the Russian “rumor” Su-47 Berkut. Russia produced a single piece of it back in 1995, but its development and eventual production stopped long ago. The Su-47 Berkut is known for the inverted direction of its main wings.
The model of the Chinese FC-31 does not reveal many details, but experts suggest that the Chinese fighter will have an unmanned mode, in addition to the standard one.
The resemblance between the Su-47 and FC-31 can be seen mainly in the inverted direction of the wings. Unlike the Russian fighter, however, its Chinese “brother” seems to be much larger. It is unclear whether China will develop this version of a next-generation fighter. The strange thing is that if so, then this version is not based on an already known development in which the Chinese have more experience, namely JF-20.
The other strange thing is that despite the great interest in the next-generation fighter at the exhibition by visitors, the Chinese media do not pay so much attention to this fighter. The media flow among the Chinese is focused mainly on JF-20.
Even if it doesn’t have “20” in its name, the FC-31 is a key member of the “20” aircraft family, Zhou Guoqiang, general manager assistant at Aviation Industry Corporation of China [AVIC], told a group of reporters on Sunday. In addition to JF-20 and FC-31, the Chinese also showed off their stealth attack drone GJ-11.
