MOSCOW, ($1=72.91 Russian Rubles) – Recently, BulgarianMilitary.com reported that Russia had launched large-scale exercises by the Russian Black Sea Fleet in occupied Crimea, one of the elements of which, the Bronya complexes, repulsed the attack of conventional enemy cruise missiles on targets in the Kerch Strait. After the large-scale Russian-Belarusian exercise “West-2021”, Russia continues to “rattle weapons” near the border with Ukraine.

At the same time, we now have the following news – on September 18, the press service of the Western Military District (WMD) of the Russian Armed Forces announced that in the Voronezh region crews of the Leningrad Air Force and Air Defense Bomber Regiment destroyed a mobile command post on training flights.

The exercises were attended by Su-34 fighter jets, which destroyed the conventional enemy’s manpower and military equipment, as well as practicing airstrikes from various directions and dropping bombs on ground targets. A total of 10 Su-34 aircraft and about 80 flight and engineering personnel took part in the exercises.

At the same time, the next day, September 19, specialists from a separate battalion of the All-Ukrainian Army “repulsed the sabotage of a conventional enemy” during tactical special training with the help of EW Palatine-K complexes at the Pogonovo range in the Voronezh Region.

In total, about 300 servicemen took part in these exercises, as well as about 20 units of armaments, military, and special equipment.

Ukraine trains how to shoot down Russian cruise missiles

The Armed Forces of Ukraine organized a joint echelon of air defense, which consists of calculations of army air defense and anti-aircraft missiles and covers both strategic facilities and combat formations of Ukrainian troops.

Units of the anti-aircraft missile forces of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine conducted tactical exercises with combat fire as part of the strategic Joint Efforts 21 command and staff exercises.

Such large-scale exercises for Ukrainian anti-aircraft gunners are “traditional”, it is a way to check the level of training acquired during the current year. One of the innovations of these exercises is the engagement of army air defense units to organize a multi-level air defense system that will protect from the air at the same time important government facilities, cities, positions, and the concentration of the Ukrainian army.
