WARSAW, (BM) – Poland looks for a material supplier for its tanks in the form of a tender of the Civil Code without applying the Public Procurement Act provisions, learned BulgarianMilitary.com quoting Defense24.

The tender concerns the supply of materials for servicing Leopard 2A5 MBTs in operation with the Republic of Poland’s Armed Forces and is divided into two tasks (with additional options).

The first task concerns the delivery of 7 sets (and seven more as options) of F3 support kits for the Leopard 2A5 chassis, and the second task is for 18 sets of F3 support kits (and another 18 as an option) for the Leopard 2A5 tower (armament). The Contractor may submit a tender for both or each selected lot.

The deadline for submitting bids in the above tender is February 15, 2021, 9:00 am, when they must open and evaluated, after which the Contractor is selecting. The following criteria will be used to assess the tenders submitted for both tasks: price (weight 90) and the contract’s performance date (weight 10). The date of execution of the agreement required for the ContractorContractor is October 29, 2021.

Suppose a tender corresponding to the terms of the tender is submitted in the procedure to determine the contract’s provisions. In that case, the Contracting Authority reserves the right to negotiate with one ContractorContractor based on the submitted tender content.

According to the Leopard 2A5 tank maintenance system’s assumptions, maintenance levels up to F3 / F4 can be performed in units, while at a higher level, they are performed improper installations. On the part of the industry in Poland, Wojskowe Zakłady Motoryzacyjne S.A. is responsible for supporting Leopard 2A5s with support up to level F6, as well as repairs and modifications, as well as possible upgrades.

For this purpose, the company has a complete base in the Leopard 2A5 Tank Service and Logistics Center. It also conducts training, including training soldiers to carry out support up to level F3 / F4, after which it is carried out in units. Designs and manufactures specialized equipment (tools, instruments, molds, stands, etc.) needed to service Leopards.
