According to Alexander Maksichev, co-director of the Indo-Russian joint venture, the missile will be completed by 2024 also reporting that while adopting particular technologies for the search of the target [most likely specific passive sensors.] The particular version will use the same platform. In addition, the company’s plans even include the development of the hypersonic version of the BrahMos.
“To date – Maksichev reported – the question of the creation of the hypersonic missile BrahMos is divided into two phases: the first involves the creation of a vector with a speed that reaches Mach 4-5 with a forecast of completion by 2024-2025; the second is the creation of a system capable of reaching a speed of up to Mach 6-7 and to be built by 2026-2027.”
