“Now all measures are being taken to return to the usual rhythm of work. Restrictions are being lifted, business trips and live negotiations have begun, our specialists have already returned to a number of countries to carry out the transfer and maintenance of equipment and weapons,” Mikheev quotes Interfax.

According to him, the first half of the year was difficult, but Rosoboronexport did not move away from the plan.

Mikheev also noted that Rosoboronexport plans to maintain a portfolio of orders in the region of $ 50 billion and deliveries at $ 13 billion this year, despite the pandemic, TASS reports.

He explained that thanks to constant analysis of the situation and timely adjustments, the company manages to fulfill its contractual obligations and, at the same time, conclude new contracts even in the most difficult conditions associated with the pandemic.

“That is why Rosoboronexport’s order book is still in the planned levels, and its geography covers 68 countries of the world. I hope both of these indicators will increase,” Mikheev said.

In addition, he said that Rosoboronexport in 2020 plans to continue deliveries of Su-30MKI and Su-35, MiG-29M / M2 fighters. Rosoboronexport also plans to bring almost 50 new types of weapons to the international market in the next five to six years.

Russia is developing cooperation with African countries, new contracts are being prepared with sub-Saharan countries, also said Rosoboronexport CEO Alexander Mikheev.

“Now we can talk about a sharp increase in interest in Russian products in sub-Saharan Africa,” Mikheev said in an interview to Interfax for the Army-2020 forum, which starts on Sunday.
