WASHINGTON, (BM) – The US military is preparing to send the promised weapons and equipment to Ukraine, including missiles for Javelin anti-tank systems, learned BulgarianMilitary.com citing the US Transportation Command statement on Twitter.

“US Air Force personnel assigned to Dover airbase are loading armaments from foreign military sales onto Atlas Air Worldwide aircraft intended for shipment to Ukraine. The USA is committed to the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine,” it was informed.
On June 17, the Ukrainian Embassy in the United States announced that Washington would give Kiev military equipment worth more than $ 60 million to counter the “Russian aggression”.
The equipment was transferred to the US Embassy’s Military Cooperation Directorate on June 16, including radios, ammunition, and Javelin anti-tank missiles.
Earlier in June, the US Department of Defense announced its intention to provide Ukraine with military assistance in the current fiscal year in the amount of $ 250 million. The condition for receiving the funds was Kiev conducting reforms in the defense system.
On May 28, it became known that the Pentagon notified the US Congress that Ukraine had provided an additional $ 125 million for successes in carrying out reforms.
For the first time, the president of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko in 2015 proposed to buy American complexes Javelin at that time. The United States did not dare for such deliveries for a long time and under the presidency of Barack Obama sent Kiev dry packs, first-aid kits, uniforms.
When the United States led Donald Trump in 2016, the sending of anti-tank missiles was agreed. Kiev received the first batch of 37 launchers and 210 missiles in the spring of 2018.

In May 2020, it became known that the parties were continuing negotiations on the purchase by Kiev of three large quantities of weapons.
In Russia, noted that such cooperation could lead to an aggravation of the situation in the Donbass.
