ANKARA, (BM) – The Turkish company Baykar Makina announced the delivery to the High Command of the Gendarmerie of three unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) Bayraktar TB2 (Bayraktar TB2), learned BulgarianMilitary.com.

According to Ismail Demir, director of the Turkish Defense Industry Directorate (SSB), on Twitter, after transferring this batch to the customer, the total number of UAVs delivered by the company to Turkish security forces reached 107 units.
In February 2020, Baykar Makina had already supplied the Gendarmerie High Command with 6 armed Bayraktar TB2 UAVs.
As BulgarianMilitary.com reported, the wing span of the Bayraktar TB2 UAV is 12 m, its length is 6.5 m. The aircraft with a maximum take-off mass of 650 kg can carry two high-precision MAM-L munitions weighing 21.5 kg and two MAM- on the underwing nodes of the suspension. With a mass of 7 kg, allowing to hit targets at ranges from 2 to 8 km. UAV flight duration – up to 24 hours, range in line of sight – up to 150 km.
According to Baykar Makina, “Bayraktar TB2” UAVs were adopted by the armed forces, gendarmerie and police of Turkey, starting in 2015, and are used for reconnaissance and fire support.
