BEIJING, (BM) – The Su-34 is the best bomber in the world, writes the Chinese edition of Huanqiu Shibao, calling the aircraft “a true design masterpiece.”
“The most recognizable part of the aircraft – its nose, resembling a duck beak in shape, is a real design masterpiece,” Tsargrad cites the text of the article.
It is indicated that Chinese experts recognize the Su-34 as the best fighter-bomber in the world for its outstanding maneuverability, high speed and powerful arsenal for destroying various land and water targets.
Of particular admiration is the ability of the aircraft to perform the Cobra aerobatics – in combat, this figure will help to urgently slow down, which will allow the enemy fighter to be “shaken off the tail” in close combat, as well as “trick” the radar with the selection of moving targets, writes the Chinese edition. It is indicated that in combination with the ability to strike from the air and with huge firepower, this makes the Su-34 an ideal weapon in air combat.
As for the nose of the aircraft, the flattened front end gives originality to the appearance of the fighter, and also gives considerable advantages – a powerful radar with the function of enveloping the terrain is installed in the bow. The same system guarantees a strike on the target in special weather conditions. Placing the system in the bow freed up space in the cockpit, which allows you to put the seats in a row. This greatly improves the interaction of pilots, the newspaper writes.
The Chinese publication notes that these fighter bombers are still too early to send “retire.”
In December, it was reported that the modernization of the Russian Su-34 fighter-bomber would be completed by 2022, and a radar station (radar) would be replaced on the plane.
