GAZA, (BM) – The Gaza-based terrorist group Hamas has also threatened Israel with mass conflict if the annexation of the Palestinian territories takes place, learned BulgarianMilitary.com quoting the spokesman of the organization Abd al-Latif al-Qanu.
He made this announcement via his Twitter account after a car attack in the southern part of Mount Hebron on May 14 this year and said also that this attack should have become a sign for the Israeli government.
“Our youth in the West Bank have made it clear to the Zionist enemy that she will fight against the annexation of the Palestinian territories and is ready to offer all-round resistance to the occupation,” he said.
On May 14, near the settlement of Negochot in the south of the Hebron Highlands, an attempt was made to carry out an automobile attack. As a result of a collision, a soldier received moderate to severe injuries. The terrorist was shot dead.
According to Maan, the car was driven by a resident of the neighboring Arab village, Deer Samet. He was taken to the Magpie Hospital, where doctors ascertained his death. Name of the slain: Baha’a ad-Din Muhammad Abdullah al-Awaude. He was 19 years old. In the car, he found a suicide note on his intention to commit suicide.
BulgarianMilitary.com recalls that on May 15 against the background of the start of the annexation of Samaria and Judea, the king of Jordan threatened Tel Aviv with a full-scale war, despite the position of the rest of the world community.
In an interview published Friday by the German daily Der Spiegel, Abdullah insisted that a two-state solution was “the only way forward” in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
King of Jordan Abdullah warned that if Israel moved forward with plans to join parts of the West Bank, it would lead to a “mass conflict” with his country, and did not rule out the termination of Amman’s peace agreement with the Jewish state.
“What would happen if the Palestinian National Authority collapsed? There would be more chaos and extremism in the region. If Israel really annexed the West Bank in July, it would lead to a massive conflict with the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan,” he said, when asked by his interviewer about Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s intention to “take advantage of the opportunity that [US President Donald] Trump has created to seize large parts of Palestine.”
“We agree with many countries in Europe and the international community that the law of strength should not apply in the Middle East,” the king added, when asked if his country – one of only two Arab nations, along with Egypt, to have signed a peace deal with Israel – could suspend that treaty.
It should be noted that a few months earlier, Israel announced its plans for the annexation of Samaria and Judea.
