MOSCOW, (BM) – Modern 5.45 mm and 7.62 mm AK-12 assault rifles continue to enter the combined arms and reconnaissance units of the Russian Land Forces, learned BulgarianMilitary.com citing World Arms Trade Analysis Center [WATAC].
Since the beginning of the year, new submachine guns have been delivered to the combined arms and military forces of the BBO and the special forces of the Western Military District.
The units receive samples with firing modes: single shots, automatic fire, a line with a cut-off of two shots. In addition, the machine has a posted forearm that protects the barrel from external loads, a removable high-performance muzzle brake compensator, as well as the ability to install a low-noise and flameless firing device, a folding butt adjustable in length, a Picatinny rail on the receiver cover for installing collimator, optical and night sights, mechanical sights with a full diopter. Also, a 40 mm grenade launcher is installed on the machine.
The new Kalashnikov AK-12 is an individual weapon of the personnel of combined arms and other units of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.
A number of design features were introduced into the machine, which made it possible to achieve greater combat effectiveness of the weapon, versatility of use, accuracy and accuracy of fire, the Department of Information and Mass Communications of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation reports.
