SEOUL, (BM) – Army General Lim Kwan Il allegedly succeeded Chiang Kil Sung as head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the DPRK Armed Forces. This was reported by the South Korean agency “Ronhap” with reference to the ministry for the unification of the two Koreas, learned BulgarianMilitary.com.
According to the agency, Lim Kwan Il was promoted to lieutenant general in 2017, and in December last year he was appointed a member of the Central Military Committee of the ruling party.
According to Interfax, official information on the appointment of Lim Kwan Il to the corresponding post in the state media of North Korea was not published.
