WASHINGTON, (BM) – US President Donald Trump still does not wear a mask during briefings and other public events, learned BulgarianMilitary.com citing news agency Cursorinfo.
At the same time the U.S. Department of Homeland Security has published documents stating that 11 new members of the Secret Service, which is protecting US President Donald Trump and other high-ranking officials, have been infected with the new coronavirus. It is reported by Yahoo News.
“In March, the secret service, which is responsible for protecting President Trump and other leaders, admitted that one worker showed a positive test for coronavirus. However, this problem is much wider: 11 official cases in the agency as of Thursday evening, in accordance with the daily report,” the American media reported.
It is still unknown whether the infected secret service representatives worked in the White House, or whether they directly contacted Trump himself or US Vice President Michael Pence.
After a wave of infections in the White House, President Trump said that now tests for the presence of coronavirus will occur daily, rather than weekly.
It became known that the spokeswoman for US Vice President Mike Pence, Katie Miller, became infected with Covid-19. According to Trump, Miller did not contact him, but she talked with Pence.
Earlier, US President Donald Trump expressed confidence that the coronavirus will eventually disappear, even without a vaccine.
