WASHINGTON, (BM) – Tehran’s development of its own rocket technology is a matter of concern in the United States, General Mark Milley, chairman of the US Joint Chiefs of Staff, said at a Pentagon briefing on May 5, learned BulgarianMilitary.com.
According to Milley, the first military satellite launched by Iran on April 22 does not cause US authorities any concern in terms of US national security, while Tehran’s presence of rocket technology is worrisome, since missiles can be used in a variety of tasks.
Recall earlier, the United States, France and the United Kingdom expressed concern about the military satellite launched by Iran. At the same time, they say in Tehran that they are not doing anything that would be contrary to the relevant resolution of the UN Security Council.
At the same time, medal for courage received 29 US troops who were injured during an Iranian missile attack at Ein al-Assad airbase in western Iraq.
Six US troops received the Purple Heart Medal. Another 23 people will also be awarded this week. It is noted that the Pentagon announced 110 wounded US troops in the aftermath of an Iranian strike.
Recall, the Iranian armed forces launched a missile attack on the US air base in Iraq in response to the assassination by the US military of Colonel General Qasim Suleimani, Commander of the Special Forces Brigade of the IRGC (Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps).
