MOSCOW, (BM) – Two ship strike groups of the Pacific Fleet carried out artillery firing at an aerial target in the far sea zone as part of bilateral tactical exercises for joining the ships of the guard of the water area of troops and forces in Northeast Russia, learned BulgarianMilitary.com citing EurAsia Daily.

“In accordance with the plan of the exercises in Aniva Bay, off the southern coast of Sakhalin Island, six missile boats as part of two missile-boat attack groups (RCAUG) repelled a raid of airborne attack assets of a conditional enemy,” the press service said today, April 20. Eastern Military District.
It is noted that the tactical background for conducting exercises on the organization of air defense was created by IL-38 anti-submarine aircraft. In the interests of the detachment, they dropped airborne targets.
“Fire on targets was carried out by artillery crew calculations from 76-mm AK-176 gun mounts and AK-630M quick-fire artillery mounts. Also, the boats during the exercise of the boat set up electronic interference,” the military department said.
Objective monitoring of the combat exercise was carried out using a complex of unmanned aerial vehicles “Orlan-10”.
BulgarianMilitary.com previously reported that in the Pacific, bilateral tactical exercises are held for combining the protection of the water area of troops and forces in North-East Russia, during which the missile boats of the Pacific Fleet fulfill their mission.
Six missile boats as part of two tactical groups had previously held a naval engagement with a conventional strike by cruise missiles against an enemy ship detachment. The entire algorithm of actions when launching a missile attack was worked out, with the exception of the actual launch.

The actions of the forces were provided by the long-range anti-submarine aircraft of the Pacific Fleet Tu-142 naval aviation and the Oslyabya large landing ship.
