MOSCOW, (BM) – Since the beginning of this year, NATO aviation has completed more than 80 reconnaissance flights along Russian territory, learned BulgarianMilitary.com citing EurAsia Daily.

“The military-political situation in the South-West strategic direction remains difficult. In an effort to block Russia’s participation in solving global and regional problems, a number of countries use any pretexts to build up a military presence near our borders,” he said at a board of the military department.

According to statistics voiced by Shoigu, in 2019, 25 NATO warships alternately served in the Black Sea. Every third of them had cruise missiles on board.

“Since last fall, the Black Sea zone has been patrolled daily by strategic electronic reconnaissance aircraft and basic patrol aircraft, as well as unmanned aerial vehicles,” the minister said.

He emphasized that the RF Ministry of Defense is carefully “monitoring the situation at the borders of the country”, as well as “systematically increasing the combat capabilities of the military districts and the Northern Fleet, improving their military composition and basing system”.

In this regard, EADaily adds that the operational line experts draw attention to the fact that for the second week in a row the Russian Defense Ministry has not taken up any of its air defense fighter on duty to identify and escort enemy enemy reconnaissance aircraft.

“For the past two weeks, foreign intelligence agents have been close to the Russian border about 58 times and a confident response to these “58” from our side is zero,” experts said.
