This was decided by the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Bulgaria. NSPA is also currently providing transportation services under the US Foreign Trade Program, which is also a Bulgarian deal, for NATO member countries.
NSPA is a NATO logistics and supply agency. Using it should mean that the companies or countries that will ship the new planes will do so at a price that will be the same as for their own armies.
Some of the Alliance countries use the agency’s services to supply combat vehicles and equipment, instead of tendering, as the government did to purchase new infantry combat vehicles and Navy vessels.
The first six fighter jets are expected to be delivered to our country before 2023, and the other two will be delivered in 2024. In mid-January, special training of pilots from the Bulgarian Air Force for the training of F-16s, which they have to undergo, will start. in USA.
