According to military representatives, Cairo has already signed a deal with Russia to buy Russian fighters to use to fight various terrorist organizations, and Islamic rebels.

Another source claims that the reason Egypt turned to Russia for the supply of aircraft was the refusal of the United States years ago to sell 25 F-35 fighter jets to the African country.

In this way, the deal with Russia will differentiate Egypt’s military suppliers, as in the past years the United States suspended its military assistance to Egypt for human rights violations.
