SOFIA, Bulgaria (BulgarianMilitary.com) – A joint preparation of formations of the 68th Special Forces Brigade and the Special Operations Forces of the Hellenic Republic started on May 16 and will take place on the territory of Bulgaria, learned BulgarianMilitary.com.
Until May 23, the Bulgarian and Greek servicemen will work on special operations planning tasks, infiltration through various methods using helicopter, conducting special reconnaissance and direct actions in urban environment and in mountain-woodland area. There will also be joint long and close range shootings with different specimens of weapons in service with the Special Operations Forces of the two countries.

It is envisaged that on 23 May 2019, at 10.00 am, high-ranking guests and representatives of the media will watch the final stage of the joint preparation that will take place in the area of Cheshnegirovo Air Base, Sadovo Municipality.

BulgarianMilitary.com recalls that the 68th Brigade of the Bulgarian Special Forces has participated and takes part in a number of international military operations under the auspices of NATO in Afghanistan and Iraq.
Last year, between June and July, Greece hosted the same exercise that took place in the Nea Peramos area.
