BELGRADE, Serbia (BulgarianMilitary.com) – During his visit to Serbia, the Commander of the Western Military District (WMD) troops of the Russian Federation, Colonel-General Alexander Zhuravlev, discussed with Lieutenant General Milosav Simovic, the Serbian Army Commander, the conducting of joint exercises with the use of real ammunition, learned BulgarianMilitary.com from the spread message to journalists by the Press Service of the WMD.
“The WMD troops Commander and the Serbian Army Commander discussed the course of the planning and general issues of a joint Russian-Serbian exercise with real ammunition, which will be held in the Russian Federation in the second half of the year,” the statement said.
The Russian delegation also visited the Serbian training center “South”, where the tactical skills of the 3rd Army Brigade servicemen and mixed artillery brigades were demonstrated to them.
Editor’s Note – In Bulgaria, the exercise with the use of real ammunition is called “Tactic-Training Combat Shooting” and is conducted once a year at the Koren Field Training Ground near the city of Haskovo.
