HYDERABAD, India (BulgarianMilitary.com) – On 20th February 2019, it was revealed in a press release that TLMAL (Tata Lockheed Martin Aerostructures Limited) has recently delivered the 100th C-130J Super Hercules empennage from its manufacturing facility located in Hyderabad, India, learned BulgarianMilitary.com
Empennage assemblies manufactured by TLMAL involve the horizontal and vertical stabilizers of an aircraft along with leading edges and tip assemblies. Previous milestones achieved by the team of TLMAL are the manufacturing of sets of C-130J centre wing box elements and introduction of a new cutting-edge 4,700 square-meter metal-to-metal bonding facility in May 2018.

The C-130J, featuring TLMAL empennages, has been used in critical worldwide search and rescue, maritime patrol, peacekeeping, aerial refuelling, combat delivery, special operations, medical evacuation and humanitarian response missions. TLMAL empennages are also included in the commercial version of the Super Hercules, the LM-100J.

The C-130J Super Hercules is a proven tactical airlifter that provides a unique mix of versatility and performance. It is the present version of the C-130 Hercules. The Indian Air Force operates a fleet of eleven C-130J-30s. It has ordered an additional C-130J Super Hercules.
