The InstantEye Mk-3 GEN4-D1 is the most recently developed system belonging to the InstantEye family of high-performance, combat-proven, affordable, aerial robotic systems and as of the moment it is the largest aircraft in the family. It represents an encrypted, all-digital system with superb real-time visible and thermal video as well as still imagery to support standoff reconnaissance of any target set. Its payload capacity is over three pounds. It is developed to be used as an organic enabler at the tactical edge, providing near real-time ISR, communications relay (ANW2C), chemical/radiological detection, and payload delivery as consequence management to defeat IEDs.
InstantEye systems are easily used. Their intuitive architecture makes them MOS (military occupational specialty) non-specific. The viewing device of the Mk3 systems is a tablet computer with an all new two hand controller, which has lineage to the combat proven Mk2 systems of the company. The tablet enables the operator to capture and review still imagery in flight and program waypoint missions. The Mk3 GEN4-D1 can be hand launched/recovered by a single operator and can rapidly transition from stowed to its operational configuration to support any mission set. Another advantage of the system is the fact that it can be used in any weather and locations.
Presently the InstantEye Mk-3 GEN4-D1 is in low rate initial production. Full rate production is expected to be started from 29th March 2019.
