On 30th May 2018 a meeting of the Bulgarian Industrial Forum will be held within the 13th edition of the international exhibition “Hemus 2018 – Defence, Counter-terrorism and Security”. It will start at 3pm and will take place in Bulgaria Hall of the Congress Centre of the International Fair – Plovdiv as announced on the website of the Forum.
The topic of the meeting is “European defence industrial cooperation – new opportunities for the European Defence Industry”. Its objectives include acquainting of the members of the Forum with the progress of the EDIDP (European Defence Industrial Development Program) Regulation, increasing the awareness of the Bulgarian defence industry representatives of the options for participation in the Program, and pushing the communication between Bulgarian and European companies directed toward successful joint partnership for participation in EDIDP.
The meeting has been organized together with ASD – the AeroSpace and Defence Industries Association of Europe, and it is expected to be opened by the Deputy Prime Minister for Public Order and Security and Minister of Defence Mr. Krasimir Karakachanov.
Invitations for participation in the meeting of the Industrial Forum have been sent to the Bulgarian Ministers of the Economy and Interior and to all current and potential members of the Forum.
It is foreseen in the Agenda 15 minutes for questions and answers starting at 4:30pm and 40 minutes for informal B2B meetings at the end of Forum meeting starting at 4:50pm.
The Bulgarian Industrial Forum was established in 2010 and its main goal is provision of appropriate atmosphere for building of firm partnerships and continuous communication between the business, the state authorities, and the research and technology community in the defence and security sector.
