The Bulgarian company MTG “Dolphin” JSC has satisfied the technical and financial requirements of the invitation to tender for the acquisition of a multifunctional modular patrol ship for the Navy. This is the conclusion of the work of the inter-ministerial working group on the project to acquire a multi-functional modular patrol ship for the Navy, appointed by order of the Prime Minister. Representatives of the ministries of defense, finance and the economy are included.
The technical proposals of the company satisfy and far exceed the technical specifications. The quality of the project and the transfer of high technology are ensured by the Dolphin MFA framework agreements with 5 leading companies whose products are recognized on the global market. These are Thales with its branches in the Netherlands, France and Germany, German Diehl Defens, Italian Leonardo, French MBDA and Rheinmetall (Switzerland and Germany).
The system integrator is Thales with experience in building more than 160 ships. Ship power plants (engines and diesel generators) are supplied by the United States.
In order to achieve the international standards for the construction of such a class of ships, the Bureaeu Veritas (France) is responsible for the independent control of the implementation at all stages.
Thus the Bulgarian business creates a sort of precedent – for the quality of the result are involved European companies with over 38 billion Euro turnover for 2016.
