Shoigu: Second US Patriot anti-aircraft missile system hit in Kyiv
In Kyiv, during high-precision strikes inflicted on the military infrastructure of Ukraine by Russian military personnel, an American anti-aircraft missile system [SAM] Patriot was destroyed. Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu announced this at a conference call on Tuesday. According to him, this happened in “the last days.”
In addition, according to the Russian military commander, in Khmelnytskyi, Ternopil, and Mykolaiv, large warehouses were destroyed, which stored weapons and equipment supplied to the Kyiv regime by Western countries.
It is worth recalling that this is the second Patriot air defense system destroyed by Russian military in Ukraine out of three supplied by the United States. The first was hit by a hypersonic missile Kinzhal. This was reported in the Russian Defense Ministry on May 16. It was reported the destruction of five launchers and radars of the American complex.
2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine

Russia has so far not recognized the invasion of Ukraine as a “war”, although that is exactly what it is, claiming that it is a “special military operation”. According to the UN, a “special military operation” can only take place after a UN resolution. There is no such resolution. So this is an invasion and war against Ukraine.
