Russian fleet in Sevastopol was attacked by Ukrainian drones
MOSCOW, RUSSIA — Ukrainian maritime drone [USV] and drone [UAV] attacked the Russian fleet in Sevastopol early this morning, March 22nd. Reports of the attack have been confirmed by Russian, Ukrainian, and other sources. However, they remain controversial.
“Details limited. The video appears to be a burning USV caught at harbor floating boom defenses. Even if no ships are sunk, attacks have a major impact,” wrote H I Sutton on his Twitter account, sharing a rather hazy photo.
At the same time, the Russian side confirmed the news. According to sources, the attack began early this morning at 4:46 a.m. That’s when loud gunshots were heard. City sources say windows of residential buildings were shaken. The alarms of the parked cars had gone off. According to people in the know, three explosions have been heard an intervals of 10-15 minutes.
An hour later, at 5:44 a.m., a fourth explosion was heard. Ten minutes later, automatic shots began to be heard in the city. No smoke over the city. After 6:00 a.m., gunshots continued to be heard in Sevastopol Bay. It is supposed to be a battle with drones. Almost 15 minutes after 6:00 in the morning, the work of air defense systems began to be heard around the city and in the area of Sevastopol Bay.
Residents of Sevastopol reported seeing strange lights at the entrance to the bay, believed to be a downed naval UAV. No arrivals were registered in the city, and no smoke or fires were visible. “The Sevastopol raid was blocked, boat traffic was stopped,” is one of the messages sent to us by our source.
Explosions were reported in the South Bay area. There, according to unconfirmed data, they are working on marine drones. The attack is closed, says another of our sources. According to preliminary information, there were three maritime drones in total, all of which were visually detected and destroyed, several sources in the area say, but there is no official word yet from the Russian Ministry of Defense.
2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine
On 21 February 2022, Russia claimed that Ukrainian shelling had destroyed an FSB border facility. Russia claimed that it had killed 5 Ukrainian soldiers. They tried to cross into Russian territory. Ukraine denied being involved in both incidents and called them a false flag.

Russia has so far not recognized the invasion of Ukraine as a “war”, although that is exactly what it is, claiming that it is a “special military operation”. According to the UN, a “special military operation” can only take place after a UN resolution. There is no such resolution. So this is an invasion and war against Ukraine.
