Ukrainian military master the Patriot air-defense system in Germany
BERLIN, GERMANY — The Ukrainian military takes control of the Patriot air defense system in Germany. The Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Germany published several photos of the training of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on this system.

The training of the Ukrainian specialists at the training ground of the Bundeswehr lasts about two weeks.
At the beginning of February, courses on mastering the Patriot air defense system began for about 70 servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, who arrived in Germany at the end of January. Training takes place six days a week.
The Ukrainians acquire skills in working with the air defense control station, working with launchers, including loading them with anti-aircraft missiles and also mastering the tracking radar that is part of the Patriot complex.
The military is also trained in the maintenance and repair of this weapon system.
Representatives of the Bundeswehr note that the Ukrainian military very quickly mastered this air defense system. This is because they are highly motivated and most of them already have combat experience. “Motivation is high because everyone knows what it’s about,” said the German officer. After completing the training of the Ukrainian operators, the Patriot air defense systems will be delivered to Ukraine.

We recall that at the end of 2022, the United States announced the transfer of one Patriot air defense system battery to Ukraine as part of the December military aid package.
In early January this year, the German government also decided to transfer this type of air defense system to Ukraine to protect against Russian air attacks.
Also, the air defense of Ukraine will receive two launchers of the Patriot complex from the Netherlands.
