‘Russian Bayraktar’ – it’s the loitering Lancet that continues to reap
MOSCOW ($1=60.98 Russian Rubles) — At the end of the year, after eight months of fighting in Ukraine, Russia clearly has reason to be proud. At least one Russian weapon is currently performing more than impressively. This is the Russian loitering munition Lancet of the ZALA company.

- Russia created a coastal four-axle launcher defense firing Tsirkon
- Analysis: Shortcomings of air defence in Ukraine
- Watch: Lancet UAV diving and destroying Buk-M1 air defense system
For the past few weeks, Ukrainian artillery has been under constant attack by the Russian drone. According to open data and videos shared on social networks, the Lancet has already successfully engaged at least four M777 wheeled howitzers, one Buk-M1 SAM air defense system, one Ukrainian MLRS system, one M109 Paladin self-propelled howitzer, one each Strela-10 and S -300 of the Ukrainian armed forces, at least one Polish Krab self-propelled howitzer, etc.
Last but not least, at the beginning of the month, on November 4th, a video on social media showed a Russian kamikaze shooting and destroying a Ukrainian navy boat.

About Lancet
Lancet-3, as is the abbreviation of the Russian drone, is already becoming a hero, commented Russian profiles on social media. Its wingspan is barely one meter. It weighs 12 kg and can carry a payload of 3 kg. Highly maneuverable, fast, and agile. The drone can stay in the air for up to 40 minutes. It has a range of 5,000 meters and flies at a maximum speed of between 80 and 100 km/h. The characteristic of the drone is that when it marks and intercepts the target, it increases its flight speed, hitting the target at 300 km/h. The drone is powered by an electric motor.
Editor’s note
In the title, we use a comparison with the Turkish Bayraktar TB2 drone because of the following: the Turkish drone has become a symbol of quality, security, and high performance and combat capability in battles in Libya, Syria, and Ukraine. Hundreds of Russian weapon systems have fallen victim to the Turkish drone, which is currently the most frequently mentioned name in the world when it comes to the involvement of drones in military operations. The comparison is intended to show that Russia has finally shown a weapon that is of good quality and has success in combat operations. Something Bayraktar TB2 has long done and proven.
