Not just British, China may have recruited Australian pilots too
CANBERRA ($1=1.60 Australian Dollars) — Australian Defense Minister Richard Marles has instructed his ministry officials to investigate reports of former Australian military pilots being recruited to train in China, Reuters reported on Wednesday. British media reported on Tuesday that up to 30 former British military pilots had gone to train Chinese military personnel.

“I would be deeply shocked and concerned if it turns out that there are people who have been tempted by high salaries from a foreign country, putting them ahead of the service of their own country,” Marles said in a statement. I have ordered them to study these messages and prepare information on this topic – added the head of the Ministry of Defense, who is also the deputy prime minister.
UK MoD
The UK Ministry of Defense issued an intelligence alert on Tuesday to warn ex-military pilots against working for the Chinese military. According to British media, China is tempting high-earning ex-pilots to pass on their knowledge and succeed in hiring around 30 ex-members of the British armed forces.
China has used external recruitment companies, including the South African-based Test Flight Academy of South Africa [TFASA], to attract retired British pilots. Information has emerged that the organization has also recruited ex-military pilots from Australia, writes Reuters.
