16 Sukhoi Su-30s crossed the waters northwest of Taiwan Strait
TAIPEI ($1= New Taiwan Dollars) — 16 Sukhoi Su-30 fighter jets of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army Air Force have crossed the center line of the Taiwan Strait. Six more J-11 fighters did the same. This happened today, August 3rd. The information was released through a press release by the Ministry of Defense of Taiwan.

Taiwan’s Ministry of Defense also published a map showing the crossing of waters northwest of the Taiwan Strait. According to the ministry, a total of 22 warplanes crossed the center line of the strait yesterday, August 2.
Taiwan’s Ministry of Defense reports that the offenders were conducting electronic jamming of radio frequencies today. The MoD says Taiwan’s response was an immediate expulsion broadcast and pursuit with anti-aircraft missiles.

“The US House of Representatives Speaker Nancy Pelosi visited Taiwan, and China jumped,” wrote the South Korean online portal setn.com. BulgarianMilitary.com recalls that despite China’s threats against the US and Taiwan, Nancy Pelosi visited Taipei and met with the island’s political leaders. In response, China launched immediate naval maneuvers, which it called exercises, and promised to continue until August 7. China’s maneuvers are currently encircling the entire island of Taiwan.
