TEL AVIV, ($1=3.22 Isreali Shekels) — The Israeli arms manufacturer Israel Weapon Industry (IWI), which is part of the Israeli SK Group, has presented its new semi-automatic sniper rifle ACE Sniper SA in NATO caliber 7.62 mm x 51, learned BulgarianMilitary.com, citing Soldat&Technik.

The weapon is based on the Galil Ace introduced in the mid-2000s, i.e. it is designed as a long-stroke gas-operated weapon.

The sniper version is said to combine long-range precision with the ability to quickly follow up shots. The weapon features a 23″ (584mm) free-floating cold-hammered chrome-plated barrel. This is said to contribute to durability and precision. The resistance of the two-stage trigger can be adjusted according to the shooter’s preferences. A muzzle brake reduces recoil and allows you to return to the target faster.

Furthermore, the weapon is equipped with a folding stock and an adjustable cheek rest. This allows the weapon to be adapted to the respective shooter and the equipment worn. Other features include a full-length 460mm Mil-Std 1913 Picatinny rail on the top of the receiver, M-Lok interfaces at the 3, 6, and 9 o’clock positions, and an adjustable bipod that folds onto the gun.

The Mil-Std magazine holds 20 rounds. The breach construction ensures marksman safety. Galil Ace Sniper S.A. can use all common rifle scopes for medium and long ranges.
