Denmark gets FLIR’s day/night, all-weather imaging systems
COPENHAGEN, ($=6.61 Danish Krones) — The Danish Army will be equipped with Flir’s day/night, all-weather imaging systems over the next seven years after Teledyne FLIR Defense signed a $ 100 million agreement with the Danish Defense Acquisition and Logistics Organization [DALO]. The news was announced in a press release on the website of Teledyne FLIR Defense.

SeaFLIR / TacFLIR 280-HDEP and SeaFLIR / TacFLIR 380 HLD-X – all Teledyne FLIR Defense products will enter service in the three main armies of the Danish army – land, air, and navy. The contract also includes industrial cooperation, as the Danish company Precision Technic Defense Group will also take part in the production of optical products and systems.
Teledyne FLIR says the company has invested heavily in recent years to improve and upgrade its products, including the ability to integrate artificial intelligence. Artificial intelligence in Flir’s systems reduces operators’ cognitive load and improves situational awareness, said JihFen Lei, executive vice president, and general manager of Teledyne FLIR Defense. “Teledyne FLIR is proud to partner with Precision Technic Defense to continue to supply Danish armed forces with state-of-the-art, gyro-stabilized sensor systems,” he added.
