The tests were carried out on December 8 at an explosion site by armored personnel carrier manufacturer PT Pindad, an Indonesian state-owned company. The standard of the test performed was STANAG 4569-AEP-55, which is equivalent to level 3B or 8 kg TNT explosion. The armored personnel carrier was detonated with exactly this amount of TNT equivalent and the armored vehicle.
After the explosion and inspection of the damage, the rear chassis was broken, but the armor of the armored personnel carrier remained almost intact, and the test mannequins inside the car remained intact, even without a scratch. This test proves that the Anoa-2 APC can ensure the safety of soldiers inside it, thus the armored vehicle will be successfully certified. According to Armi Recognition, serial production and delivery to the client, which is the producer country Indonesia, is forthcoming.
APC Anoa is a locally produced armored vehicle that began its life in 2010 and is the successor to the first version designed back in 2003. The reason Indonesia is focusing on developing its own version of the armored car is the clashes and the deteriorating military situation in the country, especially the fighting in the province of Aceh.

Anoa in local parlance means buffalo species. Anoa ARS was officially unveiled to the general public nearly thirteen years ago during the Indo Defense & Aerospace exhibition. Indonesia is about to produce hundreds of vehicles of this model for the needs of its army and to ensure the security of the country.
“Thank God we have finished this part of testing. Now we can talk about the transition from the design model, which is at the research stage, to its direct implementation in industrial production and supply to users,” stated in the company PT Pindad.
The new version 6×6 APC Anoa-2, which passed the tests, is equipped with Remote Controlled Weapon Station and an improved communication system. 6×6 APC Anoa-2 accommodates a total of a dozen soldiers, including the driver and commander of the vehicle.
The baseline vehicle is fitted with a small manually-operated open turret on the left of the vehicle and armed with a 12.7 mm heavy machine gun, 7.62 mm general purpose machine gun, or a 40 mm automatic grenade launcher and also 2×3 66 mm smoke grenade projectors. There is one rear-facing 5.56 mm light machine gun mounting in front of right roof hatch in troop compartments for mounted infantry use.
