Middle Eastern countries want joint production of Russian UAVs

MOSCOW, ($1=74.86 Russian Rubles) – The countries of the Middle East have shown interest in the joint production of drones developed by Kronstadt, the company’s press service announced, learned BulgarianMilitary.com.

“The most interesting products of the company are representatives of the Gulf countries, some African countries, and Southeast Asia. In addition, industry representatives from the Middle East have expressed a desire to cooperate in the production of unmanned aerial vehicles, developed by Kronshtadt”, the press service announced after the results held in the UAE at the Dubai Airshow-2021.

The Kronstadt exhibition for the first time abroad showed a full-scale model of reconnaissance and strike UAV with a long flight duration “Orion-E” with the satellite communication system, models of new attacking drones – “Sirius” and “Thunder”, as and a Helios-RLD radar patrol drone.

During the Dubai Airshow-2021, the company held several presentations of the Orion-E drone for new customers and “dozens of joint negotiations with Rosoboronexport with partners,” the press service said.

“It can be said that the most promising market for Orion-E supplies is the Middle East. Customers in this region have increased requirements for unmanned systems – we can satisfy them and understand that this will maximize the competitiveness of Russian unmanned technologies in the world market and will allow our country to occupy a worthy niche in world exports. of the UAV,” said the general director of Kronstadt Sergey Bogatikov, quoted by the press service.

Dubai Airshow [UAE] is one of the largest international aerospace exhibitions. The air show is traditionally held once every two years, in 2021 it was held for the 17th time – from 14 to 18 November.
