Russia to US: Please, don’t teach Ukraine after you fail in Afghanistan
MOSCOW, ($1= 72.93 Russian Rubles) – The United States, instead of teaching Ukraine the military craft, should work on the fundamental things in this area itself, said Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova, learned BulgarianMilitary.com.
- Terrifying: Al Qaeda has officially taken over Kabul’s security
- Biden’s rules: Don’t criticize us for Afghanistan or you’ll be fired
- What is the US hiding? Did they kill an IS-K terrorist at all?
“For those who are trying to show and teach Kyiv something from the NATO side, it would be nice to learn on their own. We have now observed their skills in Afghanistan,” Zakharova said.
This is how she reacted to the holding of six joint exercises in 2021 in Ukraine with the participation of NATO countries.
“With what they have arranged there, it is a shame to anyone to offer assistance and assistance in training <…> we need to work out the fundamental things,” the diplomat concluded.
On Monday, the United States completed the withdrawal of the Armed Forces from Afghanistan. On the same day, the Pentagon announced the completion of the evacuation of civilians from Kabul and the US military campaign in Afghanistan. Immediately after that, the Taliban announced that Afghanistan had gained full independence.
UN Security Council adopts resolution on Afghanistan
On August 30 the UN Security Council adopted a resolution on Afghanistan calling for the Taliban to ensure the safe exit of Afghans and foreign citizens from the republic.
13 members of the UN Security Council voted for the document, Russia and China abstained from voting. The resolution also provides for the intensification of efforts to provide humanitarian assistance, reports TASS.
BulgarianMilitary.com recalls you that last Tuesday, the Taliban gave a week to evacuate foreigners from Afghanistan, warning that they would not allow “any evacuation operations after August 31.” In addition, the Taliban have threatened to use force if the US does not complete its withdrawal by early fall.
We will remind, on August 15, the Taliban entered Kabul and established control over the city. On the same day, the Taliban announced the capture of most of the territory of Afghanistan. Panjshir, northeast of Kabul, remains the only province outside of militant control.
