China claims to produce a tactical vehicle better than the Humvee

BEIJING, BM, ($1= 6.47 Chinese Yuans) – The third-generation Chinese tactical vehicle Dongfeng Mengshi is already in series production and surpasses the American flagship Dongfeng Mengshi in this market niche, claims the Chinese central television, BulgarianMilitary.com has learned, quoting the Global Times.

According to the Chinese, the third-generation tactical car Dongfeng Mengshi has upgraded and improved the technical capabilities of the first and second versions of the car and even has more than the American built-in armor plates.

Dongfeng Mengshi is already in series production because he has proven himself in recent years on the battlefield [most likely on the Indo-Chinese border – ed.] Says in his report the Global Times. According to Liu Xuanzun, Dongfeng Mengshi will be used not only as a tactical vehicle but also as a mobile carrier for Chinese howitzers, missiles, and other weapons.

Liu Xuanzun says that the third generation tactical vehicle Dongfeng Mengshi, in addition to an excellent built-in armor plate, differs from its predecessors with better communication technology, navigation system, and firepower.

Chen Lei, a senior engineer at the manufacturing company, says the new vehicle also has very good speed, regardless of the size and weight of the load it carries, and this is thanks to new, advanced technologies.

In addition to future military operations, Dongfeng Mengshi is expected to be used to patrol and guard China’s large land border, as well as to deal with future natural disasters or civilian evacuations. The military purpose of the car is related to reconnaissance and combat missions, and for this purpose, it is armed with various weapon stations and automatic machine guns, grenade launchers, and others.

A Chinese source claims that the Dongfeng Mengshi could become the main tactical vehicle not only of the Chinese army but also of the Chinese police. According to China Central Television, hundreds of units of the new tactical vehicle have already been produced so far.
