Turkey is hiding a ‘top secret’ missile that could hit the S-400

ANKARA, BM, ($1= 8.65 Turkish liras) – Involuntarily or intentionally, but during Turkey’s domestic Anatolian Eagle military exercise, an air force official mentioned that Turkey was working on a missile that could hit the radar of Russia’s air defense system and neutralize its use.

This announcement was made in the Turkish province of Konya. The air ace has confirmed that Roketsan is working on the project, and the missile is scheduled to become part of the armament of Turkey’s fifth-generation TF-X fighter.

The missile is called “Vulture” (in Turkish Akbaba) and is a type of anti-radiation missile. It will have to replace the American AGM-88 HARM missiles already used by the Turks, which is a high-speed missile and fights the enemy’s radar stations. According to unconfirmed information, the missile will have a distinctive design, AESA radar, passive RF head.

This is all available information about this rocket. Turkish authorities have placed the project under “strict confidentiality” and there are no other features or information. It is difficult to find anything in the public space, and upon a request from BulgarianMiliter.com to Rocketsan, there is still no official confirmation or denial of this information. Weight, range, and size are not clear.

Russian experts say that one of the reasons this missile is so deeply secret is that after the purchase of Russian air defense systems from Ankara, the Turks began to look for an option to counter their systems. Others say that even if this is the case, the areas where Russian S-400 air defense systems are located are generally supported by short- and medium-range anti-missile systems that would intercept the Turkish “vulture”.
