Obama, Trump, and Biden have violated the Constitution with their actions in Syria

PANAGYURISHTE, BM, ($1= 1.65 Bulgarian levas) – Three US presidents, Barack Obama, Donald Trump, and current White House host Joe Biden, have violated the US Constitution after carrying out attacks and airstrikes in Syria during their rule. An inspection of BulgarianMilitary.com for the last decade decisions found that the US Congress has never, we repeat – NEVER allowed the conduct of hostilities, i.e. war in Syria.

The American journalist Bonnie Kristian came to the same conclusion in her article published in Insider. According to her, Joe Biden’s claims that the Iraqi government wants the presence of American troops in the country indefinitely is misleading, manipulating society, and can easily be refuted.

Let us recall the latest case of an air attack by the US Air Force in Syria. It happened last week on Sunday [June, 27] when the US Air Force attacked positions of pro-Iranian groups and militias. The attacks were carried out on three positions – one in Iraq near the Iraqi border, the other two in Syria near the Syrian border. Officially, the Pentagon said: “As demonstrated by this evening’s strikes, President Biden has been clear that he will act to protect U.S. personnel <…> As a matter of domestic law, the President took this action under his Article II authority to protect U.S. personnel in Iraq. ”

Biden’s first lie – Iraq ‘agrees’ with airstrikes

The US president’s claim that the Air Force strikes were “coordinated” in some way with the Iraqi government, and that Baghdad agrees to be inflicted, is a lie. No one in the Iraqi government supports illegal interference in Iraq’s sovereignty.

Iraq’s Prime Minister Mustafa al-Kadhemi said: “We condemn the US air attack that targeted a site last night on the Iraqi-Syrian border, which represents a blatant and unacceptable violation of Iraqi sovereignty and Iraqi national security.” A foreign ministry representative went further, castigating Biden for prolonging the failures of his predecessor.

Let’s recall again – according to a Pentagon report, five members of Iran-backed groups were killed during the airstrikes on Sunday, and according to the Syrian news agency SANA, in addition to these five, one child was killed.

It is clear from the Iraqi prime minister’s statement that Iraq has not agreed with the US military to carry out airstrikes. Moreover, Iraq did not know about these airstrikes. And if we assume a third option – Iraq knew, protested, or even banned the United States from airstrikes, then the Pentagon has violated dozens of local and international rules.

Biden’s second lie – Iraq wants American troops in the country

According to Joe Biden, the government in Baghdad wants US troops to stay in Iraq indefinitely. Such a statement is a lie.

In January 2020, the Iraqi parliament unanimously voted to expel US troops from Iraq. The decision was made because the government in Baghdad did not approve of the assassination of Iranian commander Qasem Soleimani. Parliament votes “to work towards ending the presence of all foreign troops on Iraqi soil.”

Let us recall the words of Prime Minister Adil Abdul Mahdi at the time, who said: “Iraqi priorities and the US are increasingly at odds.”

The decision of the Iraqi parliament to expel American troops was brazenly and irresponsibly ignored by then-President Donald Trump. Following Joe Biden’s inauguration, Iraq expressed hope that the dialogue on “the redistribution of American forces outside Iraq” would continue. Today, as before, the silence from the White House on this issue is deafening.

A third lie – the US can use military force

Let us introduce you to one fact – any permission for the use of US military forces on foreign soil must be voted on and approved by Congress. Sounds logical, right?

Here’s another fact: Republicans and Democrats have launched a large-scale campaign to revoke the authorization to use military force in Iraq. This decision was made in the House, but guess what – to this day there has been no vote in Congress.

Is there any authority in this case at all for Joe Biden to conduct any military operations in the area? No!

Fourth lie – the US has the right to military action in Syria

No, they don’t. As we said earlier, from the beginning of the civil war in Syria until the end of this article, NO DECISION HAS BEEN VOTED on that in any form entitles the United States to conduct military operations on the territory and in the air over Syria.

The United States is illegally in Syria. However, the White House claims that the presence of the US troops in Iraq and Syria, and their military operations, are in “protection of US personnel” (in these two countries – ed.)

“Although the Pentagon said these recent strikes were defensive (the same justification was applied to Biden’s first strike on Syrian soil earlier this year), this is a distorted logic. The reason U.S. forces are at risk of violence from “Iran militias, the remnants of ISIS or any other malicious group in the region is precise because American forces are in the region. If we stop these interventions, we stop this risk,” Bonnie Kristian said in her article.
