These five handguns shoot with .500 Smith and Wesson Magnum cartridge
PANAGYURISHTE, BM – There are brands or individual products in all areas of the economy or everyday life that are synonymous with quality and security. Nowadays, you pay more for the brand than for the effectiveness of the product you use.
- The monster BHA AR500 rifle in powerful 500 S&W caliber
- Top 5 best pistols in the world
- Top 5 best assault rifles in the world
This case is not the same as the .500 S&W Magnum revolver cartridge because it is worth every penny you give for it. .500 S&W Magnum is one of the most effective, high-quality, and safe revolver cartridges, which guarantees you an experience and high adrenaline. Why? Because the .500 S&W Magnum revolver cartridge has the power and energy equivalent to a 16-pound bowling ball.
What’s more, this .50 caliber revolver cartridge is designed for extreme hunting of any game in North America, regardless of its size.
But how can the .500 S&W Magnum cartridge win you over? First – with smooth and reliable rotation in tubular magazines. Something other revolver cartridges are not as good with, such as a .44 Magnum revolver cartridge. Second – the .500 S&W Magnum revolver cartridge has a semi-rimmed design, which is the advantage when shooting and easy handling of the cartridge during loading.
Today we will present you with five pistols that can easily use the .500 S&W Magnum revolver cartridge to get more pleasure. Old and new – does it matter when you load with Magnum!
Smith & Wesson Model 500
When we talk about the .500 S&W Magnum revolver cartridge, it is simply impossible not to start with the pistol designed for it – Smith & Wesson Model 500. This model is advertising as the most powerful revolver in the world. It is made specifically for the 50 caliber bullet that the revolver cartridge shoots. The barrel of Smith & Wesson Model 500 absorbs the power, speed, and energy of the bullet.
The Russians call this weapon “incredibly effective” capable of protecting you “from bears.” Smith & Wesson Model 500 is developed entirely on the new concept – X-Frame. Smith & Wesson turrets have a size-dependent letter index. The Model 29, for example, was assembled on an “N” frame. And for the “Model 500” a new frame was created, which received the designation “X.” The design, if not adjusted for size, is quite traditional.
It allows you to shoot both by cocking the hammer and self-cocking. The five-charge drum is tilted to the left, the sleeves are removed by an extractor. Inside the barrel casing, there is a grooved liner, barrel length – from 70 to 267mm.
Taurus Raging Bull
We go back to 1930 when the Brazilian company Taurus International decided to meet the needs of Americans for buffalo hunting. It is no coincidence that the logo of this pistol is a bison’s head because it was created specifically for hunting large prey – bison, elephants, and rhinos.
The pistol that Taurus International is developing for the .500 S&W Magnum revolver cartridge is also called the Model 500. Like the original pistol of the American company, “its Brazilian brother” has serious firepower. This handgun is a typical double-action revolver and characterizes by the presence of a front cylinder latch. Now, remember – the Brazilian pistol and its manually operated latch require the effort of two hands because it is very tight and heavy. However, everything should be strong when using the .500 S&W Magnum revolver cartridge in pistols designed to kill everything.
Magnum Research BFR
Now, this revolver has a typical classic American style from the time of the Wild West, despite its improved design. You can’t help but exclaim when you see him. Do you know what the abbreviation BFR means? This acronym stands for Big Frame Revolver. However, its firepower, quality, and precision when shooting brings another twist of the acronym, namely – Big Fucking Revolver.
This magnum can easily shoot with a .500 S&W Magnum revolver, especially if you know that it is constructed of stainless steel. It is not so popular today, although it has been in the past. However, on the market, you can find it at a pretty reasonable price of nearly $ 1,150.
Is Magnum Research BFR suitable for hunting? Oh, you have to believe me – any Magnum that uses a .500 S&W Magnum revolver is a fucking monster for hunting, although the power of this one is significantly not what you would get with Taurus Raging Bull or Smith & Wesson Model 500.
JTL-E .500 S&W Magnum 12
If we are talking about large pistols and large cartridges, we can not miss a German manufacturer that is famous for quality, precision, and German discipline. Janz-Präzisionstechnik GmbH is the company that produces the JTL-E .500 S&W Magnum 12, which is generally a custom-made revolver.
It only works .500 S&W Magnum – that’s what it’s designed for, that’s what it can do. The pistol is double-acting and equipped with a 30 cm head, which you notice is forged using a cold hammer and chrome-manganese steel. The body is made mainly of chrome steel.
There is very little and insufficient information about this beautifully engraved Ultimate 500. Perhaps a little hint because of the type of engraving – an elephant. Although it’s an unpopular model, doesn’t Gary Reeder, the designer of the gun, make a “wink” and tell us that, like the Prague Taurus, it can roar at the big game?
The Ultimate 500 is a single-acting pistol with an 8.5-inch pistol. And why is it on our list? Of course – because it can fire 50 caliber bullets fired from a .500 S&W Magnum revolver cartridge. Therefore – this gun deserves our attention.
