There is no truce, one of the heaviest Israeli strikes ever

TEL AVIV, (BM) – The rocket fire in the Gaza Strip and Jerusalem continues around the clock. Field sources report intense rocket fire. BulgarianMilitary.com shows you what happened in the last hours.

The Israeli air force has launched a series of airstrikes in Gaza, destroying a police station and dozens of police barricades. At the same time, according to field sources, three Hamas leaders were killed – Basem Issa, head of the Gaza Strip, Rafa’a Salameh, chief of the Khan Yunis district, and Mohammad Yazuri, director of Hamas military intelligence.

Hours earlier, the Israeli army and Israeli security forces Shin Bet had killed two other leaders of the Palestinian political, military movement, Hassan Kaugi, head of Hamas’s military intelligence security department, and deputy Wail Issa.

Another of our field sources reports that the Palestinians continued to fire rockets at Ashkelon, Modiin, and Tel Aviv. The IDF activated the Iron Dome anti-aircraft defense systems and its position (at the source – ed.) He (the source – ed.) could see the launches of the missiles from the Iron Dome and their interception.

Nancy Pelosi with an address to the warriors

US House Speaker Nancy Pelosi condemned the rocket attacks and the ongoing third day of fighting between Israelis and Palestinians. In her remarks, Pelosi criticized Hamas’s missile strikes and the idea that Israel had a right to defend itself.

“Every civilian death is a tragedy that we mourn. “Hamas’ accelerating violence only risks killing more civilians, including innocent Palestinians,” the top Democrat in a statement said. “Let us all pray that the situation is resolved immediately and peacefully,” Pelosi added.

In some international media reports, efforts are being made to end the clashes with the assistance of Egypt and the United Nations. Although the work of the two mediators in this conflict continues, Israel has rejected the first offer of a ceasefire offered by them.

Israel hit Islamic jihad

Airstrikes by the Israeli military in the Gaza Strip have achieved part of their goal, such as eliminating terrorist leaders in the region, as we reported yesterday.

Sameh Fahim Al-Mamluk, one of the commanders of the al-Quds terrorist brigade, and two other fighters were killed in the Israeli attacks. Their killing came after the Israeli military attacked a residential building in a Gaza suburb. Iyad Fati Faik Sharir of the Hamas movement has also been killed, sources said.

“Israeli forces attacked a hiding place in which senior members of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad’s rocket apparatus were staying,” the Israeli military and the Shin Bet said, without identifying the casualties.

The Al-Quds Brigade has already circulated in the conflict area that “these horrific killings” will be avenged, which is just a signal that rocket fire and terrorist attacks may soon spiral out of control.

“Our martyrs, commanders Sameh Fahim Al-Mamlouk, Kamal Tayseer Qureiqa, and Muhammad Yahya Abu Al-Ata, bled, and we affirm that the response to their assassination will be harsh,” a spokesperson for the Al-Quds Brigades said.

What is happening in the area?

The violence began after the focus fell on controversial judicial and political actions over the Palestinian-populated Sheikh Jara district of East Jerusalem. An Israeli court initially ruled that Palestinians should be evicted from the neighborhood and be populated with Israelis. A hearing on the eviction followed, but it never ended last Sunday and was postponed.

On Monday, Jerusalem was subjected to a brief rocket attack by al-Quds and Hamas with a request on the eviction decision. Israel did not comply with the Palestinians, which led to a retaliatory strike and a rocket fire between the two countries for the second day in a row.

According to a field source, Israel has involved fighter jets and tanks in the conflict, which are hitting 130 targets in the Gaza Strip. These goals are related to the Hamas movement. According to the Israeli authorities, these goals are also associated with terrorist organizations.

The international community welcomes the actions of Israelis and Palestinians, but as statements from both sides make clear, both sides may reach no agreement soon.
