Facebook is a unit of the US intelligence services, senator Pushkov says

MOSCOW, (BM) – Alexey Pushkov commented on his Telegram channel that the popular social networks Facebook and Instagram could introduce a paid subscription to protect personal data better. He is a Russian senator, chairman of the ad-hoc committee of the Federation Council on information policy and interaction with the media.

According to the senator, Facebook has long been working as a “de facto unit of American intelligence services,” both in information policy and in tracking the personal data of people using this social network. At the same time, Pushkov noted that most users are not at all opposed to being followed, and they are ready “to exchange their data for the usual conveniences of this messenger.”

At the same time, Alexey Pushkov stressed that for this reason, it is too early to talk about the collapse of Facebook and WhatsApp.

Recall that after the release of the updated version of iOS, social networks Facebook and Instagram began to send users notifications “about the collection of personal data due to the new App Tracking Transparency function.” From the explanations of representatives of social networks, it follows that applications will be able to remain free thanks to this function.
