Russia to US: This is a warning – keep your ships away to avoid an accident

MOSCOW, (BM) – Moscow warns the United States that it is suitable for them to stay away from Russia and Crimea’s borders because the risks of an accident are very high, learned BulgarianMilitary.com citing Sega. Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Sergei Ryabkov, quoted by RIA Novosti, stated this.

“The United States needs to understand that the risks of accidents are very high. We have already seen something similar in a completely different water area this year. We warn the United States that they should stay away from Crimea, from our Black Sea coast. This action is also for their good,” Ryabkov told reporters. Sergei Ryabkov was adamant that the US Navy had no jobs off the coast of Russia. According to him, Washington’s actions are a provocation that is testing the Russian side’s patience but which will not achieve its goals.

He added that Moscow would not give up on protecting the Russian-speaking population in Donbas, despite a statement by US Secretary of State Anthony Blinkon that Russia would pay for its aggressive actions in southeastern Ukraine. “Every threat addressed to us strengthens our belief that we are pursuing the right course,” said Sergei Ryabkov.

Both sides are sending ships to the area

Earlier, a source in the Turkish Foreign Ministry told the Russian agency that Washington had informed Ankara about the passage of two warships across the Bosphorus to the Black Sea, where they will be stationed from April 14-15 May 4-5. US warships in the Black Sea are “routine,” with the United States coordinating with Turkish authorities under the Montreux Convention, Pentagon spokesman John Kirby said.

Russia, meanwhile, has sent 15 warships and vessels from the Caspian flotilla to the Black Sea. This information was announced by the press service of the Southern Military District on Tuesday. Earlier, we reported that more than ten ships of the Caspian flotilla would go to the Black Sea as part of a control inspection. “As part of the control check for the winter training period, 15 ships, including three artillery and eight landing craft, as well as support ships, are making the transition from the Caspian to the Black Sea,” the statement said.
